Is this Herpes test accurate?
There are 2 strains of the Herpes virus: Herpes Simplex I and Herpes Simplex II. This urine Herpes test will check for both strains. However, this Herpes test will only provide a positive result if the virus is active when you test, such as when you have symptoms. If you are infected with the Herpes virus but it is inactive when you submit your urine sample, the test is likely to produce a negative result. Therefore, to determine if you have Herpes when the virus is inactive (such as when you have no symptoms), we recommend a blood test which you can have at any of our clinics. How does Herpes testing work?
First register online and make payment. We will then post your discreet Herpes test pack to your home (the postal pack is plain so no one will know what it is). Open the pack, pee into the bottle and send it back in the prepaid packaging provided. If you choose, we can email you when the results are ready. Otherwise, just log in after a day or two to check your Herpes test results. If you test positive for Herpes, we can arrange an appointment with a doctor so that you can discuss the results and get any required medication. Call 0844 561 0750 for more information.
